Scheduling an Event:

Feel free to talk to us about scheduling an event.

We're always open to ideas. We'd most like to host local book readings and workshops/skill shares however we cannot do concerts. Events work best when held after our regular hours at 7 or 8 pm. We have a projector and screen for showing films.

Although you are welcome to post a flyer outside the store and have us post the event on our mailing list, beyond that it is recomended that you do your own promotion for the event if you want a good turn out.

Our library contains over 5,000 titles. You can now see our work-in-progress library catalog online at: www.librarything.com/catalog/ironrail The "tag" that the book has is what shelf it is on in the library.

The bookshop offers books from presses such as Verso, South End Press, Last Gasp, AK Press, and many others. We specialize in radical politics/culture and good local books about and by New Orleanians.

The record rack The record rack stocks vinyl, CDs, and cassette tapes. We carry punk, hardcore, metal, indie rock, and more. See our inventory at http://noladiy.org/irr.html. If you're a local band, we want to stock your music. Please email Bryan at flyerstorm@yahoo.com for info.

The reading room allows for comfortable browsing of our zine and reference collections while sipping on coffee.
